Firstly, I want to dedicate this post to Angelica, she was -and still is- my English teacher. Now she is also my friend. I would like, well, it is my intention that this be some kind of tribute to you for many reasons.
In first place, because she motivated to me to write this post, well, to write a post in English, to choose the subject I needed othe help as well -even been so easy!-. In second place, because, even although she says that she is impresed about the decision I took, she was, in some sense, an example for me because, before me, she did the same, she change her life.
Anyway, to learn a language is, in some way something you believe you can do, when some one asks you: "How is your level of English?", usually you're used to answer them: "Mid to high Level". But it's not true. Your level used to be "Low". But you don't realize, you only see that when you come to the country where they talk the language you want to learn, then you can verify, by yourself and come back down to earth with a bump, that you know... Nothing!!
And you have to start over...
A foreing language it's like a stone over your head. Somedays you almost don't realize that it is there, you can carry it wit you & can do it pretty well, you don't have to many problems, you can understand almost everybody and everything they say -this is another thing, in a really multicultural city, where everyone is from a diferent place, you have to learn to differentiate each accent!-. But on other days, it's not just difficult...it becomes impossible!! Sometimes you think you came here to learn English but you have the feeling that they are talking Chineese.
And, for sure, this is not a really big help...
But, if I have learnt something it's don't give up. If you want, you can, and if, some day, the stone over your head you think it's too heavy, you just have to look through the window and you could see that your day can be like the london weather: you can have the four seasons in a day and, although your morning seems like a winter day, cold and rainy, your afternoon can be only cloudy and, sudenly, your evening it can even shine.
Angelica, thanks a lot to support me to write this, and, I use this post to say to you, again, CONGRATULATIONS! I'm very happy for you, you know it and you know why;)
I want, I hope and I wish for you to be my teacher for a long time.
